Phinney Ridge Yoga offers
a variety of gentle, therapeutic and more athletic/vigorous yoga classes in Seattle in the Kripalu and Hatha tradition. Phinney Ridge Yoga teachers provide a non-competitive and supportive environment, encouraging students of all ages and backgrounds to listen to their bodies in each moment with acceptance. The full depth of practice is emphasized in each class incorporating physical asana, pranayama (breathwork); meditation, relaxation and philosophy. Students are guided to move at their own pace depending on what they need that day in practice.
Early Morning Yoga Immersion
Deepen your yoga practice by immersing yourself 2 or 3 mornings per week in a supportive community of yoga practitioners. Each morning we will explore movement practices that revitalize the body as well as breath, meditation and relaxation techniques to calm and refresh the mind.
Gentle, Restorative Kripalu
For anyone who enjoys moving at a gentler, slower pace! This class is also perfect for people living with chronic pain, illness or injury. Gentle restorative practices are incorporated that help to reduce pain, while increasing strength and relaxation
Kripalu Dynamic Flow
This is a great class for people who would like a more vigorous yoga practice. Stronger posture flows are approached with an emphasis on body-awareness and breath support, and with a non-competitive, playful spirit! People with injuries are encouraged to take the Kripalu “All-Levels” or “Gentle Therapeutic” yoga classes.
All-levels Kripalu [and Hatha] yoga
Yoga postures and breath work are adapted to accommodate individual needs. Each practitioner is encouraged to work at his/her own pace with attitudes of compassion, mindfulness, and acceptance
Yoga for MS
This gentle and therapeutic yoga class provides a great support for anyone living with Multiple Sclerosis.
