Christy Fisher, founder Phinney RidGe Yoga
Christy is a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher, a member of KYTA (Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association), and a practitioner of Kripalu for over 18 years. She is also a certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst, a dancer, a choreographer, and brings over 37 years of movement training to her classes. Christy originally came to yoga seeking recuperation from the physical stresses of being a professional modern dancer and has since realized the deeper transformational benefits. She believes that anyone can benefit from yoga and enjoys teaching people of all ages and backgrounds. Christy specializes in adapting practices to meet individual needs. Her approach is gentle yet deep where practitioners are encouraged to work at their own pace. She has taught classes to people with MS through the National MS Society Washington Chapter for the last 6 years. She also teaches through Cancer Life Line in Seattle and for the Washington State Traumatic Brain Injury Association. Last summer Christy had the honor of providing yoga sessions for Pema Chodron’s conference “No Time to Loose” at University of Washington’s Meany Hall.
"Christy continually amazes me with the wisdom of her teaching style. She empowers students to respect and listen to their bodies to guide them to connect to their own wisdom. Christy is a masterful teacher with a seemingly limitless and often subtle yoga vocabulary. In addition, she has a great sense of humor and a compassionate heart. I highly recommend studying with her."

Linda Heuertz
Linda is a certified Kripalu yoga teacher and a member of KYTA (Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association). Yoga has been a part of Linda’s life since she took her first class 30 years ago. From there she found herself repeatedly drawn to it, until about eight years ago when an injury (and work on a doctorate) lead her to more fully embrace its healing and life enhancing powers. When she became a yoga teacher a few years later, she knew she had followed her heart home. Linda currently teaches yoga in Ballard for people living with MS and recently taught yoga to women recovering from breast cancer (as part of a study at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center). In her classes Linda strives to create a comfortable environment in which students of all ages and physical conditions can improve their strength, flexibility, and balance, and can steady and quiet their minds. Emphasis is placed on the breath, self-acceptance, and honoring individual needs.
Alene Moroni
Alene Moroni is a certified yoga instructor in the Viniyoga lineage. She has attended workshops with TKV Desikachar and has also studied Aston movement techniques. Seeking balance to other fitness pursuits, she took her first yoga class in 2003. She quickly found that the practice brought a sense of balance and healing to her life. Alene loves to share that with others, believing that consistently attending to the link between breath and movement can help one meet almost any challenge. She focuses on the expressed needs of the individuals in her classes, seeking to present adaptations to meet the fitness and strength of
each student.
“Alene's warmth and humor establish a wonderful atmosphere for a regular yoga practice. The skillful and elegant way in which she incorporates individual needs and levels results in consistently satisfying classes.”
----Richard R.
“Alene's teaching style is incredibly friendly and relaxing. Her encouraging attitude ensures that I am focusing
internally – instead of on what my fellow class mates are doing. She is supportive, welcoming and inclusive.”
----Stephanie C.
“Alene brings positive energy and a sense of humor to her teaching style. Her classes are relaxed and fun while still providing a great workout. She really connects to her students and is great at educating them on how to modify their poses to prevent injury and/or accommodate injuries or limitations.”

Farrah Garan
Farrah is one of the only teachers in North America certified to teach Lu Jong: Tibetan Healing Yoga. The master that brought this practice to the west—Tulku Lobsang—is based in Europe, so that is where it has first blossomed. Farrah has had the honor of working closely with Tulku Lobsang, both as a student and employee of his organization, Nangten Menlang International, since she met him at his medical center in India in 2002. She has been studying the Tibetan movement practices, as well as Tibetan Medicine and Tantrayana Buddhism since that time, continuously deepening her own experience, as well as learning from her students and Tulku Lobsang.
Farrah explored the body-mind connection further with a degree in Biology from Boston University, a certificate from The Center for World Indigenous Studies in Consciousness Studies, and a masters specializing in Perception and Communication.
