In this special morning practice we will begin with gentle warm ups and breath work to help us go deeply within. Supported restorative postures including bolsters, blankets, and eye pillows will follow along with a 40 minute Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation). Practice will end with meditation and a setting of intentions from a present and open place. We invite you to stay afterward for a little while and enjoy tea, treats and our wonderful community!
Yoga for Anxiety and Stress Relief With Liziah Woodruff

Anxiety and stress can be challenging to live with and sometimes frightening and debilitating. Some stress is natural and even positive as a motivator but when stress becomes chronic, it puts our health at risk. In this series we will work with yoga tools to ease stress and anxiety, including breathing techniques, visualization, and gentle movement to help relax and restore the nervous system. We will explore how these tools can be applied to our every day life. Some talking about what we are learning and feeling will be a part of our class. Sharing is always optional.

A very gentle series that incorporates practices to strengthen the deep core and stabilize the lower back; release neck and shoulder tension; and improve over all circulation. Each class will end with a long, guided relaxation. All physical abilities are welcome!

This therapeutic yoga class focuses on exercises that help to heal and strengthen the lower and middle back. This class is gentle and appropriate for people recovering from injury or who live with chronic pain.

Stretch and Fly Yoga Dance
Friday evenings, 6:30 – 7:45 p.m.

Stretch and Fly Yoga Dance is a unique empowering movement practice that combines simple dance moves and yoga. Experience original choreography that blends flowing movement and dynamic stillness. Each Stretch and Fly Yoga Dance routine has a theme intended to evoke various expressions of our human experience. Some of these routines include: the Dance of the Warrior, Dance of the Chakras, Dance of Radiant Light and Dance of Release. Co-taught with Jennifer Lucero-Earle.

FREE! Sponsored by the MS Society Washington Chapter. Facilitated by Liziah Woodruff, this gentle and therapeutic yoga class provides a great support for anyone living with Multiple Sclerosis. Gentle strengthening and stretching as well as breath and relaxation are emphasized to counteract the physical and mental stress of MS.
